Lorain West Breakwater Lighthouse

Decommissioned in 1966, the site was slated for demolition by the Coast Guard, and the effort to preserve the lighthouse has been going on since then. Interested persons can write to the "Port of Lorain Foundation. Room 511, 200 West Erie Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44052." This is a non-profit group that needs all of the help that it can get.
