About the Light:
|
|
Sometimes the ruins of an old site are just as much
fum as a restored site. Such is the case with the Pelee Island light. Its rough stone
tower is all that remains. Deactivated in 1909, the lantern room and windows are
all long gone. Even though the structure is it stands invokes a romantic era, there
is currently, a move afoot by the citizens of Canada to completely restore the light. |
