Lighthouses of Lake Erie               Pelee Island 42 Established: 1833 Status:   Ruins Location:   (ONT) Northeastern tip of Pelee Island Type:   Conical, rough stone Access:   Ferry to the Island       About the Light:   Sometimes the ruins of an old site are just as much fum as a restored site. Such is the case with the Pelee Island light. Its rough stone tower is all that remains. Deactivated in 1909, the lantern room and windows are all long gone.
